Dear Ministry Partners and Friends,
2023 was an amazing year in so many respects for the ministry. The Gospel was shared in Tyler, Dallas and Austin, and in all 3 cities God harvested. I was privileged to witness 116 people make Jesus their Lord and Savior. Additionally, and what truly excites me, almost twice that many people re-dedicated their lives to Christ showing a willingness and commitment to live their lives as followers of Him, renouncing living the ways of this world. And for many of these, transformation has been overwhelming. Please pray for all of these individuals that they stay committed to Jesus as they walk this journey.
We were able to assist 13 people in getting off the street, 9 in Tyler and 4 in Dallas. We assisted others with food, and everyday necessities such as utility bills, fuel for vehicles to get to work and doctor’s appointments, and clothing. 14 people were assisted in getting into rehab facilities to deal with the disease of addiction.
The Holiday Ministry was a huge success! We provided Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner to 21 families, 72 people total. For Christmas each child received 2 gifts and each adult 1 gift. In addition to the meal and gifts each household was provided with hygiene and laundry products. Unfortunately, the commitment we made was much greater than the donations we received for the Holiday Ministry. This left us starting 2024 with a deficit of slightly more than $5000 which is currently carried on credit cards. Be assured that my trust rests in our Savior and I know that somehow. He will see that this deficit is erased.
2024 is a year of re-commitment and re-focus. I will be going back to focusing on “pounding the pavement” and sharing the Gospel and love of Christ. This was our original Vision and Purpose. We’re going back to our roots and original calling-finding the lost and giving them the eternal hope, we all share.
Again, this year, I will be in Dallas and Austin in addition to my home base in Tyler. Travel dates have been set and I’m looking forward with great anticipation of what the Lord will do and how He will continue to transform lives.
I ask for your prayers that the lost may be reached and that I be given the right words at the proper time to reach as many as possible. Please also pray that the financial hole the ministry currently is in be filled.
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38 ESV
Know how appreciative I am that God has placed each of you in my life. It is my prayer that each of you go about your daily lives with the boldness of a lion willing to share the Gospel at any opportunity.
Your Brother in Christ,
Eric
