The time is fast approaching for our Holiday Ministry. This year we will be providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals as well as Christmas gifts and needed household products for 7 families. These families are what may be referred to as “working poor”– families that work hard, but due to circumstances struggle to make ends meet. The stress of making sure that there’s food on the table and the lights are staying on is sometimes overwhelming in itself, without even considering the expense of having Holiday dinners and providing gifts for family members. In a small way, we want to alleviate some of that anxiety. Please consider supporting our Holiday Ministry. Our budget this year for the Holiday Ministry is $4750.
This is truly Living Jesus Out Loud. It is followers of Christ taking care of those in need. It is our responsibility. “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” Proverbs 19:17
“Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.” Proverbs 22:9
Thanksgiving meals will be delivered Wednesday, November 27, and Christmas meals and gifts delivered on Monday, December 23. If you are able and have a desire to help deliver or shop for Christmas gifts, you can simply send an email to hopeandsolution.ministries@gmail.com, or call/text (903) 576-6667.
In November, it is our plan to minister and proclaim the Gospel in Tyler, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and New Orleans. You may be aware of our “Mission Trips Campaign” that was launched to help cover the costs associated with hitting the streets in cities outside of Tyler. Our goal is to raise $8775. To date we have raised $5426 leaving a shortfall of $3349.
So, twice now I have asked you for financial support – the Holiday Ministry and the Mission Trips Campaign. That is difficult for me to do, but it’s necessary for the ministry to do what it has been called to do. Bottom line, your help is needed! The chart below shows what God has done with your prayers and financial support through this ministry:
| June-Dec 2020 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 | Jan-Oct 2024 | Totals | |
| New Brothers & Sisters in Christ | 90 | 106 | 131 | 153 | 168 | 648 |
| Baptisms | 2 | 7 | 10 | 15 | 14 | 48 |
| Moved into Permanent Housing | 8 | 17 | 23 | 19 | 14 | 81 |
| Entered Recovery Programs | 6 | 8 | 17 | 14 | 19 | 64 |
I want to thank everyone for allowing me to take part in the growth of the Kingdom. None of this would be possible without the support of people like you, through prayer and financial resources.
The worst part of ministry for me is asking for funding. But I am asking for your support so the Kingdom message can be shared with as many as possible in as many places as possible.
